Scientific Collaboration along the Silk Road
The Belt and Road Initiative, or BRI for short, is an immense development program announced by the Chinese government in late 2013. The program is knitted around trade routes, including the historic Silk Road, that are generally aligned in an East-West direction, and includes investment in the construction of railways, highways, and ports.
